Below are some folks who are attempting some great things this year. They are listed alphabetically by last name.
Harvey, John; John is training for his his first Olympic-distance triathlon this year. It’s something he’s wanted to do since high school.
Iyengar, Arjun; Arjun is a 39-year-old Director for Mergers and Acquisitions at Platts and is working towards the NYC Ironman competition. This will be his first Ironman. He’ll be super busy this year with working, raising a family, and training, but he’s really going for it.
Prasanna, Deepthi; Deepthi has started training for her first sprint triathlon. We all hope this will be a great experience for her. When not swimming, biking, and running Deephi works as the VP for Technology at Goldman Sachs. She’s also busy raising two kids.
Salim, Travis; Travis is a music student at William Paterson University. Over the summer he’s going to attempt to write his first opera. That’s a huge undertaking, but he can do it.
Sterling, Karl; Karl is a professional musician based in upstate New York. Karl is training for his first marathon, which he’s using as a fund raiser for Leukemia/Lymphoma. Check out Karl’s website at www.karlsterling.com and info about his fundraising efforts HERE.
